Kane marks his century goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has stated that his desire in returning to the Premier League has faded and he is open to discuss a new deal with Bayern Munich.
The prolific striker is currently halfway through the four-year agreement he signed when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the transfer window of 2023.
The 32-year-old forward has netted an remarkable 103 goals in 106 appearances for the German side, playing a key role in them secure the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which was the first important honor of his illustrious career.
Tottenham boss Thomas Frank has recently mentioned that he would like to see Kane come back to England, where he needs 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring record of 260.
However, the England captain has now suggested that he is no longer as keen about going back home as he previously was, and would definitely contemplate prolonging his tenure in Bavaria.
"In terms of remaining longer, I could absolutely see that," he commented.
"I mentioned openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those discussions with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be prepared to talk and have an straightforward conversation.
"Obviously it hinges on how the next year or so progresses and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a fantastic moment and I am not focusing about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would perhaps say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have learned in my career is that different options and different timings happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am completely all in with Bayern."
Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the historic top marksman for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the quickest player this century to achieve 100 goals for a club playing in one of Europe's top five divisions, securing the achievement in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a honor had escaped him until he lifted the German title last season.
Kane states that he was not sure how he would respond after ending his trophy wait, but now thinks it has made him motivated for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be easy to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he continued.
"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.
"I was interested in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
