A revitalized the Russian player secured his first title for over two years with victory over opponent Moutet in the tournament title decider.
Medvedev, a ex- world number one, has had a difficult year, achieving just one win at the big events and experiencing a meltdown at the New York tournament.
Medvedev's inconsistency on the ATP Tour - and struggles with his serving in especial - resulted in him falling of the top ten and eventually parting ways with long-term coach Gilles Cervara.
Presently collaborating with Johansson and Goetzke, the tennis star has consistently improved in the last few weeks - peaking in a closely contested three-set triumph over opponent Corentin Moutet.
This represents the player's first trophy since the Rome competition and initial on a hard surface since that period of 2023.
The win also means the Russian has secured twenty-one championships at 21 different tournaments.
"It's the first time I have attended a tournament with my children simultaneously, so to get a title is particularly special," commented ranked player Daniil Medvedev.
"This victory is in tribute of my younger daughter Victoria, because the maiden victory I got when my first daughter her name was delivered was for her."
Medvedev, the past champion, had failed in his last six championship matches, including in that event earlier this year.
His counter-punching strategy and frequent outbursts on the tennis court had prompted some to question if his capacity to compete at the highest level was over.
However the player has made changes in the past month, attempting to advance forward and perform positively, supported by an better serve.
The champion recovered from a disadvantage in the opening set against the tricky Moutet, securing four of the concluding five games to gain the advantage.
The pair swapped breaks in the second set before the challenger, bidding for his maiden ATP Tour victory, took control to create a third set.
Moutet rescued 4 initial chances in a close final set before the champion won the break to 15 to secure the win.
Suitably, he clinched the title with a shot at the net, with his opponent unable to manage a return after a lengthy match.
